Associate, Academic Partnerships

Our Academics team is looking for a bright and motivated team member to support Flatiron’s efforts to drive growth and collaboration with our academic medical center partners.   The Academics team is a budding area of focus for Flatiron, and we are looking for someone who will support the development of partnerships with entities including NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers (and related organizations), including partnerships with both senior leadership as well as end users of Flatiron’s academic products.   You will be part of a team that is responsible for supporting ongoing strategic engagement with academic partners, which may take the form of collaborative clinical research studies, new analytics or operational offering development, and / or exploratory and innovative pilot programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support development of new partnerships with academic medical centers, and day-to-day relationship management with existing partners to ensure that Flatiron products are meeting or exceeding expectations
  • Support development and implementation of strategies to increase awareness and use of Flatiron products within partner sites
  • Collaborate with and reliably share partner feedback with Flatiron’s team of product managers, engineers, business development leaders, and other cross-functional colleagues
  • Support development of pitch decks and proposal documents for partner stakeholders focused on Flatiron’s offerings for academic institutions
  • Support onsite partner meetings (anticipated travel: 20%)

 Requirements:

  • You have a B.A. or B.S. (preferred discipline in sciences) from a top university
  • You have 2+ years experience delivering products or services to healthcare-related stakeholders, with evidence of increasing responsibility, in organizations such as:

    • Large hospital or academic medical centers
    • Top 5 consulting firm or boutique healthcare or life sciences consulting firm
    • Healthcare IT or analytics companies

  • You are involved in different innovative projects in the healthcare industry, ideally oncology, that involved managing project timelines and direct client communication
  • You are flexible, have a start-up mindset, and enjoy a fast-paced environment
  • You have the ability to juggle multiple partner interactions and deadlines simultaneously and the the versatility to collaborate with individuals across various functions within academic medical centers
  • You have exceptional written and communication skills and experience supporting high profile relationships
  • You have the agility and communication skills to work across cross-functional internal teams, including product, engineering, delivery, and product marketing, and develop strong relationships with each
  • You have the following traits:
