Nathaniel Turner / Co-Founder
Before
co-founding Flatiron, Nat was Co-Founder and CEO of Invite Media, an advertising technology company based in NYC. Invite Media was acquired by Google in 2010. Prior to Invite Media, Nat started numerous internet companies and also worked at Say Media and First Round Capital. An active angel investor, Nat has invested in over 30 technology startups throughout the country, including Bell Biosystems, Breakthrough.com, Care at Hand, DocPhin, Genomera, Meddik, and Predilytics. Nat graduated from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Zachary Weinberg / Co-Founder
Before
co-founding Flatiron, Zach was Co-Founder, President & COO of Invite Media, an advertising technology company based in NYC. Invite Media was acquired by Google in 2010. Prior to Invite Media, Zach co-founded EatNow.com which was privately acquired. An active angel investor, Zach has invested in over 30 technology startups throughout the country, including Bell Biosystems, Breakthrough.com, Care at Hand, DocPhin, Genomera, Meddik, and Predilytics. Zach studied economics and entrepreneurship at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Gil Shklarski, PhD / VP of Technology
Gil is in charge of developing the core systems and technologies that are powering the Flatiron platform. Prior to joining Flatiron, Gil built web scale data processing systems at Facebook and Microsoft. Prior to that experience, Gil worked on high performance mission critical systems as a researcher, consultant, and R&D group manager in elite technology units in the Israeli Defense Ministry. Gil holds a Ph.D. in computer science in the field of scientific computing from Tel-Aviv University.Geoffrey Calkins / Director of Product Management
Geoff is in charge of building the products that comprise the Flatiron platform. Prior to joining Flatiron, Geoff built and managed oncology research databases at Massachusetts General Hospital. Before that, he was an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, where he advised pharmaceutical, biotech, and technology companies on product strategy. Geoff studied biomedical engineering at Yale University.
